Better saddle up your pony, girl..

April 17, 2006

I just received this in my email:

I also wanted to make sure you saw our update on Day One registration:
http://blogher.org/node/4347

Day One has smaller capacity than Day Two because of its more
intimate, hands-on workshops. We originally planned on 250 seats, but
knew we could expand by 100 seats if necessary. Well, it was
necessary. Last week, I announced only 100 more open seats for Day
One. And those seats are starting to go. So, if you're a Day One
speaker and want to make sure your community knows what you're up to
and has a chance to come see you, I would send out your emails or
publish your posts now.

FYI: Day Two has much more capacity, and we will give similar kinds
of heads up when necessary.

I am co-presenting at 4:00pm on Day one. The panel is described thusly;

Design/Style/Customization:

Want to make your blog your own? DIY or pay? And what's reasonable in time & money? mir verburg and Tiffany Brown walk you thru it, plus stylesheets (CSS) and how they work.

I realize the cost of a ticket to San Jose, may be a bit prohibitive for many of my readers, but if you happen to be on the west coast, let me tell you, for a resonable price registration is going to get you access to a veritable cornucopia of interesting workshops.

I am also contributing on Day 2 in a panel discussion on Open Source and feminist ideas.

Get Deeply Geeky: BlogHers want to talk technology and gender. Is the web itself a feminine construct? How about open source? Join Laura Scott, mir verburg, Anne Zelenka, Nancy White & futurist Melanie Swan.

So gentle readers come and bring your panties to chuck on stage. Okay, don't bring your panties it will just get me in trouble, but bring your blueberries (No wait, it's a blackberry isn't it? Aahh crap, dis-crediting myself again) and take notes, that's probably more appropriate anyways.
