Destroyer

April 27, 2004

I just wanted to let everyone know that one of the best bands in Canada is called Destroyer , they are playing El Salon, which is a suck-hole on 05.08 w/ Pink Mountain Tops, Frog Eyes.

...and for the record. Tv on the Radio was one of the best shows i have ever seen, I wanted to cry and dance at the same time., which usually only happens in the privacy of my own home.

I can't find a site for the band yet...

gimme a minute

Merge Records is where you can find the albums

okay no luck and I have to go to the airport
I found this though'

tinymix tapes.com

It goes well with
this discussion i was having a few months ago

go find destroyer, if I had to give it a category I would call it elf-rock..

I saw Zinn speak at Uqam last year, and he is an excellent and inspiring academic/activist.

Somehow, (but I am not sure how) related here's another link brought to you by *Ned Schwartz*

The Agora Xchange is :

"...an online community for discussing and designing a massive multi-player global politics game challenging the violence and inequality of our present political system. agoraXchange was commissioned by Tate Online launched on March 15, 2004. agoraXchange will also feature an ongoing conversation about the project between David Ross (New York) and Murat Özbank (Istanbul)."
- from site index

For more excitement read their manifesto.

Whew, thats a long entry - maybe it's bad to try and fit two, no, three links in one entry..

April 17, 2004

Ned has just told me that every time, I steal an idea from him and post it to my blog I have to credit him..

This next entry was given to me by Mr. Ned. Thank you for taking a look at the econcordia financial planning site Ned, and having such a philosophical response to it. And thank you a million times for choosing me to be your friend so you can share this fabulous information with me.

good?

What exactly is an opportunity cost?

It is whatever you give up when you make a decision.

It is the green grass on the other side of the fence.
